LISTOWEL – A Listowel man is facing an assault charge following an incident here on July 22.
Perth County OPP responded to an altercation on Elizabeth Street just after 7 p.m. that evening.
Police spoke with the victim, and an investigation gave police reason to believe an assault had taken place.
No injuries were reported by police as a result of the incident.
Police later arrested Reggie McIsaac, 35, of Listowel and charged him with assault with a weapon and uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm.
The accused was release from custody and is scheduled to appear in Stratford court at a later date to answer to the charges.
