LISTOWEL – One person is facing criminal charges as a result of a domestic incident in North Perth.
On Oct. 16 shortly after 2 a.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police was dispatched to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the area of Union Street West in Listowel. Police attended and an investigation was initiated.
A 42-year-old resident of Listowel was arrested and charged with assault cause bodily harm – choke, suffocate, or strangle; forcible confinement; and assault with a weapon – spousal.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.
