Inez Fenton organized the No Stone Left Alone ceremony at Sanctuary Park, Port Elgin. “What a feat to research and find 237 veterans in a single cemetery!” officials comment. Steve Wolfe piped the color party into the ceremony. A memorial wreath was placed by Norma Dudgeon. The color party was comprised of members of Branch 340 Port Elgin and Branch 295 Paisley. Sgt. at Arms was Bob Harrison. Family representatives, community supports, as well as students from Saugeen District Senior School assisted with honouring the veterans by completing pre-event painting of some of the poppy rocks and placing them at the grave sites. Organizers offer special thanks to residents of Faith Maple Estates who also helped paint poppy rocks, research veteran profiles and search out the resting places for flag placement.
