Meth seized during Mount Forest traffic stop

WELLINGTON COUNTY – On Aug. 29 at approximately 8:10 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police Wellington County Detachment investigated the driver of a motor vehicle that was parked at a business on Main Street in Mount Forest.

While interacting with the driver, officers located drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine and the individual was placed under arrest.

As a result of the investigation, Tyler James Troup, 22, of North Perth has been charged with possession of Schedule 1 substance – methamphetamine, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on Oct. 1, 2021.
