Charges laid in Listowel break and enter case

LISTOWEL – Police have arrested an individual after a break, enter and theft was completed at a property in Listowel.

The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police was contacted by a resident on Aug. 2 shortly after 1 p.m. after a residential break-in sometime between July 28 and July 29 at a residence in Listowel.

Police observed damage to an exterior door, and items were stolen from the property.

Perth County OPP have charged 20-year-old Jaydn Judge of Listowel. The accused is charged with:

  • break, enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence; and
  • theft under $5,000.

Police remind the public to report any suspicious activity to police immediately and consider installing security features, such as increased lighting, cameras, or alarms. Citizens are asked to ensure vehicles, sheds, garages and doors are locked to assist in the prevention of some crimes.
