Bruce County trails closed to the public

BRUCE COUNTY – Bruce County has closed all county-owned trails in an effort to keep people from gathering in public spaces.

The county announced on March 25 that the closures are effective immediately.

“We’re taking this measure to limit the risk of coming into close contact with other people in public areas,” said Miguel Pelletier, Bruce County’s director of transportation and environmental services. “This is the time to stay at home, practice social distancing and help flatten the curve of COVID-19.”

Bruce County owned trails include:
• Carrick Tract Trails;
• Lindsay Tract Trails;
• Brant Tract Trails;
• Kinloss Tract Trails;
• Culross Tract Trails;
• Amabel Tract Trails;
• MTB Adventure Park; and
• Bruce County Rail Trail

Officials stated that the trails are closed until further notice and trail maintenance will not occur during the closures.
