Brockton resident among three charged in Georgian Bluffs drug bust

GEORGIAN BLUFFS ­– A Brockton resident is among three individuals facing charges following the execution of a search warrant in Georgian Bluffs.

The Grey Bruce OPP Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU), the Huron-Perth CSCU and the OPP West Region Emergency Response team executed the warrant on Nov. 25.

A search of a property resulted in policing seizing drugs suspected to be methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine. Also seized were several other offence-related assets.

Police arrested and charged three people as a result of the search.

Darlene Douthwright, 28, from Georgian Bluffs, has been charged with possession of a Schedule I substance and unauthorized possession of a weapon.

George Parker, 61, from Georgian Bluffs has been charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance.

Amy Van, 38, from Brockton has been charged with three counts of possession of a Schedule I substance.

All three of the accused individuals are scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court on Dec. 23 to answer to the charges.
